Manchester United manager, Michael Carrick, has said he is not expecting to be sacked after the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

Carrick, speaking to TNT Sports after the match, insisted he will be in charge when the Red Devils take on Roma in the Champions League.

Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer scored in the second half to inflict the fourth league defeat of the season on United.

The result leaves Carrick’s men sitting in 17th place on the log, one point above the relegation spots.

But the 45-year-old expects to be in the dugout for the home game against Roma on Tuesday.
