The Elden Ring franchise is getting an official new release called Malenia, Blade of Miquella, in April 2027, and fans of the FromSoftware RPG may want to mark their calendars. Even though the legendary studio has not made any announcements for a new game entry in the latest soulslike series, such as the highly rumored sequel to Elden Ring, the franchise is still getting new adjacent releases, more than four years after the original game’s launch. These new arrivals aren’t new titles, but they do celebrate the groundbreaking RPG adored by soulslike fans.
According to a new listing on the official European online Bandai Namco Store, Malenia, Blade of Miquella is set to be released in April 2027. This new release is a miniature from the Figuarts Mini line. The new product, as is implied by its name, is centered around the most iconic boss from Elden Ring, Malenia. The PVC and ABS figure, which is about 10 centimeters in size, is currently available for pre-order for 25,99 € (Euros). This product comes with the Malenia figure, plus an additional swappable arm and a stand.
As such, you can pose Malenia with or without her iconic Hand of Malenia sword, known for executing the deadly Waterfowl Dance attack. The new Malenia release for Elden Ring is part of a much larger collection, which contains figures of several characters from the soulslike RPG. As you can see within the related products on the Malenia, Blade of Miquella page, there are also figures for Melina, Ranni the Witch, Blaidd the Half-Wolf, and even the Raging Wolf.
You can also find the Starscourge Radahn miniature from Elden Ring, though this one is a bit pricier because the iconic demigod comes with his ever-faithful horse, Leonard, as well as two swappable hand parts. This means you can pose Radahn with or without the Starscourge Greatswords, and mounted on or off Leonard. The Starscourge Radahn Figuarts Mini is also available for pre-order, though this product is expected to be released in March 2027, rather than April 2027 like the Malenia, Blade of Miquella Figuarts Mini.
While this figure will hardly provide the same experience you’d get from playing the game, it is a way of remembering and celebrating one of the toughest bosses in Elden Ring. It’s not an easy feat to reach Malenia to start off, as this optional boss is hidden within the center of Miquella’s Haligtree. On top of that, the Goddess of Rot is known for being an exceptionally difficult opponent to deal with. Apart from extremely fast and powerful strikes, she also recovers HP with her attacks, making progress feel lost whenever she lands a hit.
If you’ve defeated her, with or without the help of players like the legendary LetMeSoloHer, having a Malenia figure on your desk can feel like having a trophy of your accomplishment. We’re all waiting for a new entry in the franchise (or any of FromSoftware’s soulslike series, to be honest), but while that does not happen, we can reminisce about some of Elden Ring‘s best gameplay moments with this new Malenia figure.
