Eighty-three yards for Rashee Rice in prime time

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice had four receptions for 83 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. Rice was targeted six times in the win.

Why It Matters: Like all of Kansas City’s receivers, Rice had a quiet outing in Week 1. Thankfully, the passing attack looked much better on Sunday night with Patrick Mahomes throwing for 382 yards. Rice finished third on the team in receiving yards and fourth in targets. His upside remains the highest of any of the Chiefs’ pass catchers, though, thanks to his skill set. With Mahomes seemingly rounding into form, Rice again becomes someone you should have locked into your starting lineup. Although he’s more of a high-end WR3 or low-end WR2 right now, he offers WR1 upside, which is something Xavier Worthy and Tyquan Thornton do not.
