Eagles vs Cowboys live updates, time, TV channel for Monday night game

PHILADELPHIA − Typically, the Eagles‘ rivalry with the Cowboys has the Philadelphia region fired up for the entire week leading to the game.

That’s not the case for this matchup between 2-4 teams. That’s because the Eagles are smarting from a four-game losing streak, one week removed from finding out that quarterback Jalen Hurts is out for the season because of blood clots that have spread to his lungs.

They also won’t have their top two wide receivers in DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks, who are sitting out with injuries.

And the Eagles offense was already struggling even before Tanner McKee took over for Hurts as they rank near the bottom of the NFL in total yards, passing yards and points per game.

The Cowboys are in a similar situation, albeit on defense as they rank near the bottom in several defensive categories.

All of this takes precedence over the rivalry. After all, the loser of this game will fall 2 ½ games behind the NFC East leading New York Giants.
