DT Warren Brinson is lone Packers player to miss Sept. 11 practice

GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers had just one player miss practice Sept. 11, a positive sign for the health of the roster heading into the Week 1 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 13.

All the key starters, including on the offensive line, have been participating in practice all week.

The final injury report with the game status for players comes out later this afternoon.

Until then, here’s the latest from practice:

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said defensive tackle Warren Brinson is still “working through” the calf injury he suffered during warmups before the second preseason game in Denver.

He missed practice all week, making it likely he’ll miss the season opener.

Predictions for the Green Bay Packers Week 1 game vs the Minnesota Vikings

Packers linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper practiced for the first time this week.Hopper has been dealing with an Achilles injury that kept him out of practice for the past two days.

Packers starting right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele participated in practice every day this week.

Bako-Bewele is building up to the season after offseason knee surgery to repair a partially torn patellar tendon. He’s been limited all week in practice.

The injury report will provide more details on where he stands heading into Week 1, but he said he plans to play.

Packers starting left guard Aaron Banks also participated in each practice this week.

He’s been dealing with knee tendinitis that forced him to miss time in training camp. He’s been limited all week in practice.

“The fact that he’s out there is encouraging,” LaFleur said on Banks.

For both Banks and Bako-Bewele, LaFleur said, “We’ll get them through today and see where they’re at, but it’s good to have them out there.”

(This story will be updated following the release of the injury report later this afternoon.)
