The wheels have completely fallen off the San Francisco Giants‘ season. Harrison Bader’s health update is the latest evidence.

Bader, who’s been on the IL since May 30 due to left plantar fasciitis, won’t be returning anytime soon as he worsened his injury in a scooter accident, the Giants announced Tuesday. He’s now slated for an MRI to determine the extent of the damage.

The centerfielder has played only 30 games this season while batting a putrid .170/.198/.358. This is Bader’s first season in San Francisco after signing a two-year, $20.5 million deal. He spent his first nine seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies.

News of Bader’s scooter accident comes after a fan ran into the 32-year-old while he was apparently scootering around San Francisco. The fan took a picture with Bader and appeared to catch the outfielder in the act. Much to the dismay of Giants fans, Bader used his injured left foot to push off the ground.

With the Giants languishing at 45-62, they’re expected to be sellers at the Aug. 3 trade deadline. Second baseman Luis Arraez plus starting pitchers Robbie Ray and Tyler Mahle are among the players team president Buster Posey could potentially ship out.
