Detroit Tigers 2026 MLB Draft Day 2 pick tracker, live updates

The Detroit Tigers are back on the clock.

The 2026 MLB Draft continues into its second day on Sunday, July 12, with Rounds 5-20 taking place from Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. Day 2 of the draft will start at 11:30 a.m. ET and will not be on a traditional TV channel, but will be streamed on MLB.com.

The Tigers made four picks over the first four rounds on Day 1 of the draft on Saturday, July 11, taking Coastal Carolina right-handed pitcher Cameron Flukey in the first round at No. 22 overall. Flukey has pitched his last three seasons for the Chanticleers and broke out with an 8-2 record in 2025, pitching in the final round of the College World Series against LSU, the eventual champions.

Flukey is the first pitcher the Tigers have drafted in the first round since Jackson Jobe went No. 3 overall in the 2021 draft. The Chicago White Sox drafted UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky with the No. 1 overall pick.

The Tigers took Kansas shortstop Tyson LeBlanc with their second-round pick at No. 61 overall, and took right-handed pitcher Evan Dempsey from Florida Gulf Coast with their competitive balance pick at No. 69 overall. Detroit’s final pick of the day was shortstop Dominic Pellegrin from Holy Cross High School in Louisiana, taken in the fourth round at No. 125 overall.

The Tigers will pick at No. 158 overall in the fifth round, at No. 188 in the sixth round and then in the 23rd slot in each of rounds seven through 20. They will have 16 total picks in the 16 remaining rounds of the draft.
