La Liga giants Barcelona have this weekend tabled a new-and-improved offer for the signature of Manchester City star Rodri.
This comes as the Blaugrana continue to work tirelessly to bring the Spanish international back to his home country with a view to the 2026/27 campaign.
Midfielder Rodri has seen his name dominate the headlines across Spain and England alike for several weeks now. After it first appeared as though the 30-year-old was primed to pen terms with Real Madrid, Hansi Flick’s Barca instead emerged as the clear frontrunners to strike a deal.
Ahead of the expiration of his contract terms in Manchester in less than 12 months’ time, Rodri has made clear his desire for a new challenge.
The Camp Nou hierarchy, in turn, recently sent a pair of proposals the way of their Etihad counterparts. Both, however, were knocked back.
As alluded to above, Deco and co. have late this week therefore returned to the table with a third bid. As per a report from English transfer insider Ben Jacobs:
‘Barcelona’s have made a third offer for Rodri and are optimistic of completing a deal. Package under discussion now £60m+ (€70m+).’
