Jun. 18—The Dayton Dragons are on pace to do what they did in 2022 — lead all minor league baseball in average paid attendance.
Baseball America just released the top 10 clubs through June 9, and the Dragons have a sizeable lead on last year’s attendance leader, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, a Philadelphia Phillies affiliate in the Class AAA International League.
The Dragons’ average of 7,970 is slightly ahead of their 2022 pace of 7,935. The IronPigs average this season is 7,159. Last year they averaged 8,242.
The Dragons are the only Class A team in the top 10. Eight are AAA teams. The only AA team is the Richmond Flying Squirrels. They are third overall with an average of 7,133. The rest of the top 10: Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, El Paso, Nashville, Columbus and Durham.
The Dragons have also maintained their consecutive sellout streak that began the night they opened Day Air Ballpark in 2000. The record-setting streak began the season at 1,636 games and currently sits at 1,666.
The Dragons are also well on their way to leading the Midwest League and all 60 Class A teams in attendance for the 26th consecutive season. Also, at their current rate, this would be a 20th straight season of leading all teams in attendance below the AAA level.

The Dragons finished third overall in 2025 behind Lehigh Valley and Indianapolis.
The Dragons’ next home game is June 23, the start of a 12-game homestand that runs through July 5.
