SIOUX CITY, IA (KCAU) – The Class A championship of the SDHSAA state softball tournament came down to two Siouxland squads: Elk Point-Jefferson and Dakota Valley.
The Panthers would be up 9-1 heading into the 7th inning, and the Huskies would put together a 5-run rally. But the final batter would find themselves in a pickle between first and second, and the Panthers would chase down for the game-ending tag.
The Huskies finish their season 11-7, while the first-time championship-winning Panthers finish 15-4.
