The Daily Merengue is a place where you can feel free to d all things football. Do not be alarmed by the overt RMCF bias. It’s in the name! Shoutout to the mods who do a fantastic job, Ezek, Valyrian Steel, Kung_Fu_Zizou, Juninho, NeRObutBlanco and yours truly, Felipejack.
We got the three points. But we have to face it sooner rather than later — we are not playing well under Mourinho.
Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal | HT thoughts.
Everything and anything but football. That has been Real Madrid from the first pre-season game until now. Individuals asked to rescue the team at both ends, the middle forgotten. Individualism at its peak.Zinedine Zidane showed that…

Loconte even compared the numbers between Benitez and Mourinho:
This Real Madrid feels far too reminiscent of Rafa Benítez’s version. An extremely talented group of players, with illusions of missing profiles and a structure that leaves individuals paying disproportionately for those gaps.

His current form is not great. Many of you are saying this for a while. He actually was playing well yesterday coming from the bench.
And it’s no doubt that refs haven’t been fair to Real Madrid. Elche’s player Osorio hit his elbow on Huijsen’s face and nothing happened. And people on X have recovered the video when Marcelo have had his hair pull out in 19/20 season and nothing was called — not PK/fault, not a red card. And even Vini had his hair pull out too. Just to mention a few.
But it’s on Vini, it’s was a fault. Vini’s camp agrees with the red card. The biggest problem, imo, is the lack of criteria from refs.
So, to circle it back to Vini:
What exactly goes through your mind deciding to pull a player’s hair off the ball fully knowing what the rules are

After the red card, Vini reactly in bad way and had to be contained by his teammates. This what the ref wrote:
🚨💣 BREAKING: The Referee has described Vini Jr.’s behavior as AGGRESSIVE in his match report.
“Vinicius, after having been sent off and still on the pitch, continued protesting my decision, shouting LOUDLY, heading toward the area where I was with an AGGRESSIVE attitude,… pic.twitter.com/xAmcjiug68

Due to his reaction, he might be suspended for at least 2 games, so he very likely miss El Clasico. Should we remind ouservels that it’s almost one year ago when Vini freaked out when he was substituted by Alonso in El Clasico?
