Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Puerto Rico international defender Caitlin Cosme on a permanent deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Eagles this afternoon.

The 27-year-old defender joins Crystal Palace off the back of a spell with French Arkema Première Ligue club FC Nantes. She has signed an initial one-year deal at Selhurst Park.

Cosme started her senior career in the United States with Long Island Fury before going on to represent the reserve side at Gotham FC. The player then briefly moved into the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) with Orlando Pride where she made a handful of appearances. In early 2024, Cosme joined Icelandic club Stjarnan before soon making the switch to French club FC Nantes.

On the international stage, Cosme represented the United States in her youth before switching her allegiance to Puerto Rico in 2025.

After joining Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season, Cosme said “Everyone has been so welcoming so far and I’m excited to just immerse myself in this club and in this community.”
