Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has landed inside the NFL’s annual Top 100 list, coming in at No. 31. This is the sixth-time the 11-year veteran has made the list and is his third-highest placement of his career. He was voted No. 14 his rookie season and No. 16 in 2024 after his NFL MVP runner-up season.
His 2025 campaign provided a strong foundation for his inclusion in the upper tier of the list after throwing for 4,552 yards, good for third most in the NFL, and 30 touchdowns, fourth-best league-wide. Under his command, Dallas had the second most total yards (6,663), passing yards (4,527), and yards per game (391.9). Their 471 points scored were seventh most on the NFL which averages out to 27.7 points per game.

The annual ranking — voted on by NFL players — carries weight as a peer evaluation and underscores both respect across the league and the ongoing debate about his true standings among the elite quarterbacks.
“He led the NFL in completions for a second time in 2025 and has quarterbacked a top-seven scoring offense in four of the past five seasons, the outlier being a year he missed nine games. It was basically all on his shoulders last season due to an absent Dallas defense that gave up the most points in the league. Prescott nevertheless managed four fourth-quarter comebacks, over half of the Cowboys’ wins.” — NFL.com
However, landing at No. 31 also reflects the crowded landscape at the QB position. Prescott finished ahead of 12 named QBs, but there are still five names who will clearly land inside the Top 100.

The Rams’ Matthew Stafford, Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, Bills’ Josh Allen, Patriots’ Drake Maye and Seahawks’ Sam Darnold will all likely be named in the Top 30.
Prescott joins his offensive mates in receivers CeeDee Lamb (55) and George Pickens (36) as the only Cowboys on the list.
From the Cowboys perspective, Prescott landing at No.31 can be viewed as both validation and motivation. It confirms that he is firmly considered one of the league’s top players, yet leaves room form upward mobility.
The upcoming season presents and opportunity for Prescott too climb even higher.
Ultimately, his placement is less about definitive judgement and more about the fine margins that separate the NFL’s best. If he can translate regular-season consistency into postseason success, a top-20, or even top-10 ranking could be well within reach.
