The Indianapolis Colts simply cannot find a way to stop the bleeding. This losing streak they’re in dating back to last season has to have gotten deep inside their heads already, and the manner in which they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday has to make the continuation of their skid that much more demoralizing. On Sunday, the Colts lost in overtime, 33-30, after the Chiefs scored the game-winning field goal with no time left in the extra period.

This now makes it nine straight losses for the Colts dating back to their Week 12 loss last season to the Chiefs. That Week 11 bye week continues to be an unmitigated disaster for Indianapolis. They started off 2025 with an 8-2 record, took a week off, and then came out of that rest week an entirely different team — something that seems to have bled into this new season.

Now, even though it’s only Week 2, the Colts are feeling the pressure to grab a victory in any way they can just to put an end to this embarrassing slump.

“Every game is a must-win, especially now, us losing two straight. Nobody wants to continue losing. So I think, no matter if it’s a division game, no matter if it’s out of division. Whatever game we step out there, it’s a must win. But we know the weight of a division game. Those are worth two games. I think, obviously, the level of urgency to win just because we lost two straight is at 100 already,” Colts safety Cam Bynum said after the game, via WISH-TV News on X.

Next week brings the Colts to a contest at home against a division rival in the Houston Texans. They lost both games against Houston last year during their seven-game losing streak to end the season, so they will look to get back to winning ways once and for all when they take the field yet again in a must-win clash.
