It’s hard to believe the long, insufferable wait for college football is almost over! With Yahoo College Fantasy Football draft season in the home stretch, here are a few league-winning players to make sure you are aware of when studying for your last few drafts.

Keelon Russell, QB, Alabama
The former Elite 11 winner was battling veteran QB Austin Mack for the coveted role as HC Kalen DeBoer starting signal caller, and has now officially secured the starting job. Keep in mind DeBoer’s last three quarterbacks were NFL Draft picks, with Michael Penix Jr. and Ty Simpson being selected in the top 13.
I had the opportunity to watch Keelon closely at the Elite 11 Finals, and also spoke with his personal QB coach at length about his traits. Perhaps most importantly, his QB coach said Russell’s football mind and ability to process is the most developed he has ever seen out of a high school QB. That’s music to my ears, and with Russell locked into the starting job, he is an incredible value considering he’s been selected outside the top 20 of P4 quarterbacks up until this point. He’s a certifiable steal where he’s being drafted and has league-winning upside.
Jayden “Duke” Scott, RB, NC State
The Freaks List honoree has been in the lab working hard this offseason, as Scott reportedly beefed up to 223 pounds while running a jaw-dropping 4.35s 40-yard dash. NC State plays one of the easiest P4 schedules in the country, dodging ACC heavyweights Clemson, Miami, SMU and Notre Dame (honorary ACC school). He takes over the full starting job from the departed Hollywood Smothers and I expect him to eclipse Smothers’ commendable 15.7 fantasy PPG. Scott has sky-scraping upside and should approach the rare pantheon of 20 PPG college fantasy football running backs this season.
Aneyas Williams, RB, Notre Dame
It’s hard to not get excited about what Williams could do this year now that his two primary obstacles to playing time, Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price, are in the NFL. Despite extremely limited opportunities, Williams scored 10+ fantasy points in each of his last three games and gained 224 rushing yards on just 24 carries for a gaudy 9.3 YPC average! Notre Dame has a bonafide top-three offensive line and should clear the way for a gargantuan fantasy season from Williams. He’s a sensational value who is going in the back half of the second round in most Yahoo Standard leagues.
Nick Marsh, WR, Indiana
I’m baffled to see several NFL Draft prognosticators who somehow have overlooked Marsh because he was saddled with one of the worst offensive environments in the country last year. Despite having the most inaccurate quarterback in the Power Four throwing to him last season, Marsh still registered the most broken tackles by any P4 wide receiver (28) for a ridiculous 48% missed tackle rate that also paced the nation. With Marsh now in Indiana and set to inherit Elijah Sarratt’s X-boundary role that produced 12 touchdowns in nine regular season games, I expect Marsh to absolutely destroy the Big Ten and be a matchup-proof WR1 for CFF purposes.
Mason Mini, TE, Cal
Mini was a vital cog in Cal’s pass-heavy offense last year, receiving a 19.5% target share after transferring in from Idaho to replace NFL Draft pick Jack Endries, who left for Texas. Cal is going to throw the ball all over the place again with budding star QB Jaron Keawe-Sagapolutele, and Mini would have been a consensus top-10 CFF tight end had it not been for the arrival of New Mexico TE Dorian Thomas, who had a huge season for the Lobos in 2025.
However, with Cal releasing their first depth chart, it was Mini alone at the top of the TE position with Thomas languishing as the third tight end in the rotation. It’s officially wheels up for Mini, who is being taken in the 15th round of even lower in standard Yahoo leagues. He’s a league-winning value in that range, and he should be on your team.
