For Bryant Wesco, the focus entering 2026 isn’t on what happened last fall. It’s on what comes next.
After emerging as one of Clemsonfootball’s top young receivers during his first two seasons, Wesco’s momentum came to a halt when a neck injury cut short his 2025 campaign. The injury created uncertainty about his future, but those questions have since been answered.
The rising junior has been cleared to return and is back working with the Tigers as Clemson prepares for a pivotal season under new offensive coordinator Chad Morris.
“I’m just so happy to be back with the team, you know, going up against the defense,” Wesco said. “It’s just a different level.”
Long before the injury, Wesco gave Clemson fans a glimpse of his potential. As a freshman in 2024, he became one of the Tigers’ most explosive weapons, eventually totaling 708 receiving yards and five touchdowns while helping Clemson capture an ACC title.
One moment in particular remains etched in his memory. After hauling in his first touchdown at Memorial Stadium, the noise from the crowd caught him off guard.
“The fans got so loud, it was so loud in that stadium on that play,” Wesco said on Clemson Athletics’2 Right Turns Podcast. “During that play, it kind of scared me, as soon as I caught the ball, the crowd’s roar.”

Now healthy again, Wesco has the opportunity to add new memories in 2026. Clemson is searching for a bounce-back season after going 7-6 a year ago, and a productive return from one of its most talented receivers could go a long way toward helping the Tigers get there.
