Taylor Sheridan remains one of the biggest names in TV, creating the hit series Yellowstone, which ran for five successful seasons on Paramount Network. Sheridan is also the creative behind shows like Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, The Madison, Landman, and Lioness, among others, all of which have also proven popular with audiences. Though Sheridan is now hard at work on the upcoming Call of Duty movie, he hasn’t left the world of TV behind, and he currently serves as an executive producer on a host of series.
Among those series is Marshals, a Yellowstone spinoff that remains a popular pick with audiences on streaming. As of writing, the show, which was created by Spencer Hudnut, ranks as the fifth most popular TV series on Paramount+ in the U.S. When looking at the top 10 titles overall from Amazon Channels, Marshals ranks in first place.

The Yellowstone spinoff brings back Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton and follows the character as he uses his career as an ex-Navy SEAL to work with an elite U.S. Marshals team. The show premiered in March of this year and quickly found success, with Marshals season 2 then following on October 4.
On streaming, Marshals, which also stars Ash Santos, Logan Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel, Tatanka Means, Brecken Merrill, and Gil Birmingham, beats some notable titles, including another Sheridan show. The series comes ahead of All the Queen’s Men, NCIS: New York, Sheridan’s Tulsa King, NCIS, NCIS: Origins, MobLand, The Challenge, Tracker, and, in tenth place, Beyond the Gates. The streaming success of the Yellowstone show is likely to continue into the foreseeable future, as its 20-episode sophomore outing isn’t set to conclude for a number of weeks.

The remaining episodes of Marshals season 2 are set to feature an exciting cast reunion. It was recently confirmed that Judd Lormand and Beau Knapp had joined season 2 and would debut on the series starting November 22. Lormand and Knapp previously starred together in SEAL Team, making the Yellowstone spinoff a fun mini reunion. Their joining the show also marks a behind-the-scenes reunion, however, as Hudnut served as the showrunner for SEAL Team for seasons three through seven.
It remains to be seen how long Marshals will continue to dominate on Paramount+ through Amazon, but the show’s success speaks to the continued demand for Sheridan content and for the Yellowstone universe. Marshals, of course, is one of two Yellowstone spinoffs currently running, with Dutton Ranch, chronicling the lives of Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser), also confirmed to return for season 2. Though Sheridan may not be as creatively involved in the Yellowstone universe as he used to be, his creation is evidently still going strong.
New episodes of Marshals air on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
