There is a time and place for most things, even in the NFL. One thing there is never a time for is ripping a rival when someone from another team is seriously injured on the field. Unfortunately, Chicago Bears fans didn’t get the memo.
On Sunday afternoon, there was a terrifying incident when Atlanta Falcons linebacker Kendal Daniels was motionless on the field. Ultimately, he was taken off the field on a stretcher.
While the medical staff was treating Daniels, there was a classless moment from the fans at Mercedes-Benz Stadium as chants of “Green Bay Sucks!” rained down from the crowd. The Bears fans decided it was an appropriate time to take a shot at their rival, who took them to the tool shed a week ago, 31-7, but players disagreed.
Bears players were urging the fans to stop the chant while Daniels was down. At least some people had some common sense.

Bears Fans Under Fire For Classless Chant

Bears fans have made a habit of taking the chant with them wherever they go, but maybe it’s time to cut it out, especially when the Packers have nothing to do with today’s game and a player is seriously injured.
Other players on the field appeared on the verge of tears as Daniels was loaded onto the stretcher, so fans should’ve been able to pick up on the signs, but they didn’t. Even Bears fans on social media were upset with their representation in Atlanta.
“Enough with the Green Bay sucks chant altogether,” one Bears fan wrote on X. “Absolute losers chanting that during a serious injury like this.” Another fan added, “Bears fans just confirming the type of fanbase they already are. I mean this is pretty low though… like have a little integrity.”
There is no information on Daniels’ current status, but we will update the post with more information as soon as it becomes available.
