According to Fabrizio Romano, Serie A side Como have sent an offer for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah in the amount of €25 million, but the London Blues are set to reject it, waiting to see if other suitors make a move. Inter Milan are believed to be monitoring the situation closely, and the England international will be allowed to leave for a suitable fee.
Born in Sierra Leone, Chalobah rose through the youth ranks at Chelsea. He had loan spells with Ipswich, Huddersfield, Lorient and Crystal Palace. For Chelsea, he has made a total of 151 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals. There are two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge, but it doesn’t appear that newly appointed manager Xabi Alonso is counting on him much for the upcoming season.
Playing mostly as a centre-back, the 26-year-old is highly versatile, capable of filling in at right-back, as well as a defensive midfielder.
