Castleford Tigers captain Alex Mellor has joined fellow Super League club Catalans Dragons.
Mellor has signed a two-year contract to move to the south of France from the 2027 season onwards.
The 31-year second row forward had spent the past four-and-a-half seasons with the Tigers and was made captain for the 2026 season.
He made more than a century of Super League appearances for Castleford, including 23 in this campaign in which they finished 13th.
The Tigers are currently without a head coach following the departure of Ryan Carr last month.
