Week 5 of the 2026 Central Texas high school football season saw District 25-6A’s Big Three – Lake Travis, Westlake and Round Rock – all post easy wins over McNeil, Midland Lee and Stony Point as the Austin area moved to the halfway point of the regular season.
The Anderson Trojans suffered a District 13-5A Division I setback on the road at Boerne Champion on Friday, one night after district favorite (and defending state champion) Smithson Valley tore Cedar Creek apart. Hutto and Dripping Springs recorded impressive wins, LBJ and Bastrop continued to slide and Hays outlasted Johnson in a rivalry matchup of Buda schools.
