The Saltdogs raced out to a 2-0 lead after one inning courtesy of a two-run homerun. Two unearned runs scored on a double in the bottom of the second before Chris Kwitzer answered with an RBI sacrifice groundout in the top of the third.

The 4-1 score held until Lincoln pushed four runs across in the sixth inning. Two scored on a two-out single before the hosts tacked on a two-run roundtripper.

The Canaries loaded the bases with one out in the eighth inning but were limited to one run on a fielder’s choice and the Saltdogs broke the game open with four runs in the home half.
