Camavinga: “I need to focus on the field and not make mistakes”

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga talked to the press during France’s training camp and answered some relevant questions about his current role in the Spanish capital but also with the national team. When asked about what he needs to do in order to get a more prominent role, Camavinga was self-aware.

“I need to be consistent. I think right now what makes things happen is consistency. The most important thing is to concentrate on the field and not make mistakes. That gives you consistency,” he said.

He was also asked about his best roles and positions as a player.

“We have quite a few left backs, I won’t say left back. I have the opportunity to play as an ‘8’ and ‘6’ right now. The coach knows it. I think you guys know what my preferred position is,” he added.

Camavinga also shared his feelings about missing the World Cup.

“The fact that I didn’t get to play in the World Cup really got to me, because every player dreams of competing in it. Rome wasn’t built in a day. These kinds of disappointments hadn’t come my way in my career. It’s something I need to deal with,” he explained.
