The Indiana Fever are sending three starters to the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game for the first time in franchise history, and Caitlin Clark has just one request for the league legends responsible for drafting the teams.

Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell were all voted into the starting lineup for the July 25 showcase in Chicago, giving Indiana one of the biggest storylines heading into All-Star festivities. While the trio celebrated the milestone, Clark admitted she’s already thinking about what comes next, and hoping the Fever stars don’t get separated.

Clark hopes Fever’s Big Three stay together

Unlike previous seasons, the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game won’t feature player captains drafting the rosters. Instead, Hall of Fame legends Teresa Weatherspoon and Cynthia Cooper will serve as honorary general managers and build the two teams. That prompted Clark to make a lighthearted plea after Friday’s practice.

“Whoever is drafting, if you want to keep us on the same side, we’d appreciate that,” Clark told reporters.

The request makes plenty of sense considering how much chemistry the three have developed in Indiana this season. Clark has continued to establish herself as one of the league’s premier guards, averaging 21.2 points and 8.2 assists per game. Mitchell has been one of the WNBA’s most explosive scorers at 21.6 points per contest, while Boston has anchored both ends of the floor with averages of 17.0 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals.

That production helped the Fever make franchise history by placing three players in the All-Star starting lineup for the first time.

Clark knows getting split up is a real possibility

While Clark made her request with a smile, she also acknowledged the odds may not be in her favor.

“My first two years, we were all on the same team, so this might be the first time we get split up,” Clark said. “If it were our choice, we’d all be on the same team.”

She even joked about how the draft could play out.

“We were discussing it, and I said I’m probably gonna be the one left out to dry by myself, and they’ll be on the same team. But we’ll see how it turns out.”

The comments highlighted the close bond the trio has built since helping transform the Fever into one of the WNBA’s biggest attractions.

More All-Stars are still on the way

The All-Star picture isn’t complete just yet. The WNBA will announce the reserve selections on July 7 before Weatherspoon and Cooper officially draft their rosters. That means Indiana could still have additional representation if players like Sophie Cunningham earn a reserve spot.

Whether Clark, Boston and Mitchell ultimately suit up together or wind up on opposite sidelines, the Fever have already accomplished something no team in franchise history had managed before. Clark would simply prefer to keep the celebration going by wearing the same jersey one more time before the regular season resumes.
