Browns rookie listed as one of ten best in the NFL

The Cleveland Browns are off to a great start this season. With a 5-2 record, they are currently in first place in the AFC North. For a team that was considered to be rebuilding entering the year, they have exceeded expectations.

A big part of that has been the immediate impact of their young players. The future is now for the Browns, as many first- and second-year guys are driving their success. One of these players was recently named one of the top ten rookies in the NFL so far this year.

Matt Verderame of Sports Illustrated put out an article ranking the best 2026 rookies. In this article, he named Browns wide receiver Denzel Boston as his 9th-best rookie this year.

“Boston has been Cleveland’s big-play threat, with three catches of at least 46 yards. His prolific ability has helped the Browns get off to a surprising 5–2 start while leading the AFC North, a division with four teams featuring winning records.”

He also gave a mention of fellow rookie receiver KC Concepcion as deserving consideration, but ultimately preferred Boston’s big-play ability so far in the year. 

Both Boston and Concepcion, as well as first-round pick Spence Fano, have important roles on the Browns offense. All three will continue to get extensive playing time and continue to adjust to the NFL level. Don’t be surprised if any of the three, if not all of them, are on lists like this by the end of the season.
