Brian Burns suffers ankle injury late on MNF

New York Giants linebacker Brian Burns (ankle) left the Week 2 game against the Los Angeles Rams in the fourth quarter due to an apparent left ankle injury. He had his ankle rolled up on, and he needed help getting off the field by the training staff, as he was able to put very little weight on the ankle.

Burns had the cart to take Burns to the locker room, but he walked past it, and chose to walk to the locker room slowly under his own power.

Why it Matters: Burns is one of the best players on the Giants defense, and he left when the game was already decided. It was a tough night for New York, as Burns left, starting quarterback Jaxson Dart exited early, and wide receiver Malik Nabers was forced out briefly, too. What a difference a week makes, in terms of good feelings.
