Brazil World Cup lineup vs Haiti today: Starting XI led by Vinicius Junior

PHILADELPHIA — Aside from Vinícius Júnior’s equalizer,Brazil delivered a largely underwhelming performance that resulted in a 1-1 draw against Morocco in its 2026 World Cup opener, falling short of the high expectations that always follow the Seleção on the world stage.

Carlo Ancelotti’s squad takes the field Friday, June 19 against Haiti at 8:30 p.m. ET at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia with some pressure to show improvement in its second group‑stage match. Another disappointing effort would raise more concerns whether Brazil can compete with the best teams in the world.

Featured in Brazil’s starting lineup are Vinícius Júnior and Raphinha, who headline the forward line. Vini Jr., the Real Madrid attacker, delivered the crucial equalizer against Morocco, securing a point for Brazil. His individual skill shined in the goal as he sliced past defenders and then fired a shot into the bottom right corner late in the first half. 

There is one change up front with Matheus Cunha replacing Igor Thiago at striker, and one change on the backline with fullback Danilo stepping in for Roger Ibañez.

Brazil will once again be without Neymar for Group C play. The Santos FC midfielder did not make the trip from Brazil’s training facility in New Jersey to Philadelphia, as he continues to receive treatment and go through individual training to return from a calf injury sustained prior to the World Cup. 

Haiti is coming off a 1-0 loss to Scotland in its opener. Despite the loss, there were positive signs that it won’t be the pushover that many expected in the country’s first World Cup appearance since 1974.

The Group C match between Brazil and Haiti will start at 8:30 p.m. ET on Friday, June 19 from Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia Stadium) in Philadelphia.
