Blink-182 star gets emotional singing his own song with Padres fans
The San Diego Padres have their rally caps on after falling behind 2-0 in their best-of-five MLB playoff series against the Milwaukee Brewers. Thanks to a 4-3 Game 3 win, the Padres now head into Game 4 on Wednesday night with a chance to send the series back to Milwaukee for a win-or-go-home Game 5. But before we dive into tonight’s game, there was one unique moment from Game 3 worth watching (at least once), that made for must-see TV thanks to Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge.
Blink-182’s hit song “All the Small Things” has become an unofficial anthem and late-game tradition for the Padres at Petco Park. But what makes it even more awesome is that DeLonge is a lifelong Padres fan, and during Game 3 of the NLDS matchup with the Brewers, DeLonge was front and center for the sing-along.
Not surprisingly, being in attendance as 40,000-plus fans sing a song you helped create and have performed countless times must have been surreal, and DeLonge was emotional in the moment.
