If someone so much as spills a drink in TD Garden all eyes shift to Boston superfan, Bill Simmons.

The longtime NBA insider and pop culture pundit has been reporting and commenting on the Jaylen Brown situation since it began. Now that Brown has been traded, what does Simmons have to say?

His first reaction might surprise you.

Bill Simmons’ strange reaction to Celtics trading Jaylen Brown

A day before the Jaylen Brown trade happened, Bill Simmons laid out a strategy to mend the superstar’s relationship with the Celtics organization.

This Jaylen situation can be fixed with one 3-hour dinner in the private room at Toscano’s – table for 6, the Jays, Joe Mazz, Stevens, Chisholm and Wyc. The right trade isn’t there, shit happened, just talk it out without agents, family and extended circle flunkies poisoning it.

This comes after Simmons reported that Brown was “acting like he’s done with Boston.”

It was almost more shocking than any take he could’ve dropped. No take at all.

Simmons obviously wants to promote his full reaction on his podcast but this was shockingly sparce. No short, shocked tweets or short videos addressing it.

Was Simmons already expecting this trade? Does he need more time to collect his thoughts? What will be his first reaction?

Questions that will have to wait until his scheduled podcast.
