One of the storylines that has caught the footballing world by storm in the last week has been the identity of the mystery player that Real Madrid are set to pursue if Florentino Perez is to win the Presidential election, facing off against Enrique Riquelme.

When making the promise, Perez stated that the “€150 million” player would come from a Champions League club, and with the number of players with a price tag in that region being very limited, it sent fans across the world into a frenzy trying to find out who it could be.

One possible conclusion that fans could come to would be that of Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise, who matches the price tag and ambitions that Perez has, with the Frenchman being a huge part of the German giant’s success this season, netting 48 goal involvements across 52 appearances this season.

Bayern’s president offers a harsh reality check to Perez

🚨 Bayern president Hainer: “If Florentino Pérez wants to send us a bid for Olise – which has not happened so far – he can SAVE HIMSELF THE TROUBLE”.

If Olise were to leave, it would leave the Bavarian side with quite a hole to fill in terms of production. But as such, Bayern Munich’s president, Herbert Hainer, has come out and shut down any rumors regarding their star winger, according to Fabrizio Romano, who cited a piece from German publication BILD.

“If Florentino Pérez wants to send us a bid for Olise – which has not happened so far – he can save himself the trouble,” Hainer stated, cited by Romano. “Michael Olise is a player of FC Bayern with a long-term contract. We are NOT a selling club.”

To Hainer’s point, the French forward is under contract with Bayern Munich until June 2029, having only joined the club in July 2024, proving to become a revelation for them, after his € 60 million fee from Crystal Palace.

Given that it appears that Olise is off the table, it could lead Los Blancos to look elsewhere, with a recent report tying them to a two-time Champions League winner.
