Barcelona squad named for Getafe

The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana are back in action after the international break with a La Liga home game against Getafe, and Hansi Flick has called up the following 22 players for Saturday’s clash:

Goalkeepers: 1. Joan Garcia, 13. Wojciech Szczesny, 25. Dominik Livakovic

Defenders: 2. João Cancelo, 3. Alejandro Balde, 5. Pau Cubarsí, 12. Xavi Espart, 18. Gerard Martín, 23. Jules Kounde, 24. Eric Garcia

Midfielders: 4. Brian Farinãs, 6. Gavi, 7. Fermín López, 8. Pedri, 16. Rodri, 20. Dani Olmo, 22. Marc Bernal

Forwards: 9. Gabriel Jesus, 10. Lamine Yamal, 14. Karim Adeyemi, 17. Anthony Gordon, 29. Hamza Abdelkarim

Barça will be without their captain and top scorer for this one as Raphinha has been ruled out with a minor muscle issue, which will also keep him out of Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Galatasaray. Andreas Christensen (quad) and Roony Bargdhji (knee) are also ruled out through injury, while Frenkie de Jong (knee) is back in training but still awaiting his medical clearance. The good news is the return of Joan Garcia, who is cleared to play after overcoming a minor knee issue.

Predicted starting XI (4-3-3):

Joan; Kounde, Cubarsí, Martín, Espart; Fermín, Rodri, Gavi; Adeyemi, Jesus, Gordon

The match kicks off at 6.30pm CET (Barcelona), 5.30pm BST/WAT (UK & Nigeria), 12.30pm ET, 9.30am PT (USA), 10pm IST (India), and you can join us to follow and comment all the action.
