Barcelona’s pursuit of Julian Alvarez has taken another intriguing turn, with fresh reports suggesting the Argentine forward is becoming increasingly unhappy with how Atletico Madrid are handling his future.
According to information from ESPN, relayed by Mundo Deportivo, Alvarez is struggling to understand why Atletico Madrid have yet to provide a response to Barcelona’s reported €100 million offer.
The situation is said to be causing growing frustration for the striker, who has already made up his mind regarding his preferred destination.

The report claims that despite attracting interest from several major European clubs, Alvarez is focused exclusively on joining Barcelona.

In that regard, both Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are said to have expressed interest in the striker, but neither option is believed to be under serious consideration from the player’s side at this stage.
Instead, Alvarez is waiting for movement regarding Barcelona’s proposal.
Now, as reported before, the Catalan club submitted an offer worth €100 million for the forward, with the proposal sent directly to Atletico Madrid sporting director Mateu Alemany via email.
However, Atletico Madrid have not yet provided an official response, something that has left the player increasingly puzzled.

The report states that Alvarez cannot understand why the situation remains unresolved, particularly given the significance of the offer and the growing uncertainty surrounding his future.

Furthermore, there is also a feeling within the player’s camp that the matter should have progressed further by now, especially considering the level of interest shown by Barcelona.
One of the most significant aspects of the report is the suggestion that Alvarez has narrowed his focus entirely to Barcelona, while at the same time, the striker feels disappointed by the attitude shown by his current club.
As such, the Argentine had hoped his future would be resolved before the upcoming World Cup, but given the current lack of progress, he now appears resigned to the possibility that a decision may take longer than expected.
