Former Portugal international, Luis Figo, has revealed that the people who vote for the Ballon d’Or have the power to decide the winner of the prestigious award.
Figo, who was speaking to Radio MARCA, also backed Real Madrid to fight Barcelona for the LaLiga title until the very end of the season.
“Surely Madrid will fight until the very end. This is a competition that has to be regular until May,” Figo said.
On the 2026 Ballon d’Or, the Real Madrid legend added: “Who has the power to decide is the one who votes.
“You have to wait to see what happens. I don’t vote, so I don’t have that problem in my head,” he further stated.
