The financial details of the contract agreement reached between the Real Madrid board and the entourage of midfield star Aurélien Tchouaméni have been revealed.
This comes amid confirmation that though the Frenchman is primed for a wage hike, it is not quite as considerable as previously suggested.
The name of midfielder Tchouaméni has of course dominated the headlines in Spain’s capital over the last 24 hours, after word was forthcoming that the former AS Monaco standout has agreed to commit his long-term future to Real Madrid.
In the face of mounting transfer interest by way of Manchester United, Florentino Pérez and co. moved to reiterate their belief in Tchouaméni’s abilities, through an improved new deal.
Initial reports suggested that the Frenchman was in line for a wage packet in excess of €10 million, with some having gone as far as to point towards a €13 million-per-year accord.
Such claims, however, have since been denied.
As per a report from Blancos insider Jose Felix Diaz of Diario AS:
‘The new contract stipulates a net salary of around nine million euros per season.’
