According to Sky Sports, Aston Villa have expressed an interest in signing Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo, to make up for the imminent departure of Ezri Konsa to Arsenal.
Villa are set to earn £51 million from the sale of Konsa, but it will obviously leave their defensive section of the squad thinner, both in terms of quantity and quality. Tosin is at the top of the list as a potential target to replace the England international, but apparently, he’s not the only one – other options are being considered as well.
Tosin is a product of the Manchester City academy, and having gone through loan spells with the likes of West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers, he made his name in the Premier League while playing for Fulham between 2020 and 2024. Chelsea signed him two years ago as a free agent, but now it seems clear he has no place in the squad under Xabi Alonso.
