According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Arsenal are contemplating a move for Barcelona winger Raphinha in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Premier League champions were reportedly keen to add another wide attacker to Mikel Arteta’s ranks during this summer, and it was said that they tried to compete with Liverpool for the signature of Bradley Barcola, but as it transpired later, the France international was very clear he only wanted Liverpool as his destination.
It seems the Gunners are not giving up on the idea of another top-class forward and they have their eyes of Raphinha now. However, the Brazil international is an important player at Barcelona, and he has shown significant versatility by playing centrally at the start of this season. After only three La Liga games played, he already has five goals to his name.
On the other hand, come January, Raphinha will have turned 30 and there will only be 18 months left on his contract. He will certainly be one of the names to watch out for when the market reopens at the turn of the year.
