Angel Reese is celebrating her trade to the Atlanta Dream with a brand-new colorway from her Reebok collection. On June 12, the WNBA sensation is releasing the next edition of her “Angel Reese 1″ sneaker. The news comes days after the 24-year-old set a new record in the league.
Reese’s impressive start to her third WNBA season is being marked by the release of a new edition of her signature Reebok sneaker, according to a press release sent to The Blast.
The bright red basketball shoe, dubbed “Red,” will be available for purchase on Reebok.com and at Dick’s Sporting Goods on June 12 at 10 AM EST.
“The Angel Reese 1 ‘Red’ celebrates a new season, new team, and even bigger energy,” said Reese. “We’ve had a great start to our season, and I’m excited to continue building one game at a time.”
Just Before The Start Of Her Third Year In The League
Don’t forget, Reese was traded to Atlanta in April 2026, according to The Blast. Jeff Pagliocca, general manager for the Chicago Sky, said that the trade was designed to create roster balance.
“Angel has achieved many record-breaking milestones in her first two years in the WNBA and has been a competitive force for the Sky. We are thankful for her many important contributions to this league and this game, and we know she will continue to have a big impact on the court and beyond,” he said.
Before her trade, Reese made it clear that she wanted to play on a championship-contending team.
“… I’d like to be [in Chicago] for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me. But while I am here, I’m going to try to stay open-minded about what I have here and maximize that as much as I can,” she said back in 2025.
Reese spoke with the media after her trade, saying her primary focus was on “continuing to grow my game” and “competing at the highest level.”
She’s doing exactly that, per The Blast. In her most recent game, the LSU alum recorded her first three-pointer and her fifth double-double of the season.
Right now, the Atlanta Dream has the second-best record in the league, sitting at 6-2 ahead of their matchup against the Indiana Fever tonight at 7 PM EST.
In a previous interview, Reese said she felt good about her team’s chances of winning it all this season.
“Transferring from Maryland and going to LSU and winning a championship, it feels like deja vu right now,” Reese said. “And I get chills right now because being a part of Chicago my first two years and going to Atlanta, I just feel that urge right now that I’m going to win again.”
According to a previous report from The Blast, Reese recently set another WNBA record, becoming the fastest player to reach 900 rebounds (71 games).
“Rebounds are something that I can always rely on, no matter how the game is going,” the star player said. “I knew tonight that I was gonna get a lot of offensive rebounds, and I think [at times I don’t] do a great job getting offensive rebounds or even defensive rebounds.”
She added, “I [want] to take pride in that … and going in there and getting those extra second-chance points, but also opportunities to my teammates to kick out on the three.”
Being one of the faces of the league comes with a lot of pressure and scrutiny. In a recent interview, Shaquille O’Neal rushed to Reese’s defense, slamming internet trolls for “bullying” the Maryland native.
“I wish I could punch some of these guys in the face that just pick on my Angel … but I have to be professional,” O’Neal said, per The Blast.
“It’s just a lot of nonsense, and just a lot of embarrassing, a lot of bullying sometimes. And guys bullying [other] guys is fine, but I can’t let you just bully females, just so you can get likes,” he added.
