Netflix is losing all 16 episodes of an acclaimed teen series in just two days, leaving subscribers little time to finish its twisted road trip story. Originally released back in 2017, this innovative coming-of-age story spanned just two seasons before concluding in 2019, not before establishing itself as one of the best original Netflix series of the 2010s. Because there are only a few days left to binge-watch this series before it’s gone for good, it’s easily one of the best Netflix shows to watch this week while there’s still time to enjoy it.
Netflix’s critically acclaimed 16-part series The End of the Fing World officially leaves the platform on November 5, 2026, meaning the last day to watch it on the platform is on Wednesday, November 4. The psychological drama/dark comedy series is one of Netflix’s top-rated original series of all time, earning a 94% Rotten Tomatoes score and a similarly strong 92% RT audience score. For these reasons and more, The End of the Fing World is worth watching from start to finish before it’s removed from Netflix later this week.
The End Of The F***ing World Turns A Road Trip Into Something Much Darker
The End of the Fing World subverts that traditional coming-of-age road trip series on its head with its mature themes, complex characters, and dark sense of humor. The series was nominated for two Emmy Awards, both in cinematography categories, and is based on a popular graphic novel of the same name by Charles S. Forsman. The End of the Fing World was developed for television by Charlie Covell (Kaos) and stars Alex Lawther (Alien: Earth) and Jessica Barden (Dune: Prophecy) as two outcasts who become unlikely friends. What begins as a genuine search for an estranged family member becomes a journey of violent crime across England.
Lawther plays James in The End of the F***ing World, a seventeen-year-old who believes he is a psychopath and meets Alyssa (Barden), a rebellious teen who wants to run away from home. James has been acting on his violent tendencies throughout his adolescence by killing small animals and convinces himself that it’s time that he kills a human being. When Alyssa gives him an ideal opportunity to make his first kill on a road trip in the remote suburbs of England, James begins plotting her death, only to discover that he may have a heart after all, or at the very least a genuine connection with Alyssa.
Netflix Subscribers Only Have Until November 4 To Watch All 16 Episodes
While the overall premise of The End of the Fing World sounds quite morbid, viewers and critics alike enjoy the series for its sharp black comedy and psychological elements. The Hollywood Reporter writes, “The twisted, efficient story that The End of the Fing World tells is a nicely contained thing that requires no additional embellishment and it should be binged and cherished in its tart glory.” Similarly, The Guardian notes, “It’s fabulous – comedy so dark that you can barely make out the comedy. And yet it is funny, as well as being convincing.”
If you enjoy other hidden-gem dark comedy series like Wayne and I Am Not Okay With This, then The End of the Fing World is the perfect binge for you on Netflix this week. The series is one of several that are leaving Netflix in the near future due to an expired 7-year licensing deal with Channel 4, one of the most popular TV networks in the UK, and there is no clear indication at this time of when or if the series will be returning to Netflix anytime soon. The End of the Fing World is simply one of the best coming-of-age series with dark comedy and psychological thriller elements that has ever been on Netflix, so don’t miss your last chance to binge it this week.
