According to a release sent out by the AHSAA, Jacksonville has been placed on probation for playing an ineligible player.

As a result, Jacksonville must forfeit all games won in which the ineligible student-athlete participated. The student-athlete was assessed restitution for the contests in which he played while ineligible. The AHSAA announced the violation was self-reported.

Jacksonville has played in two contests in the 2026 season and currently has a 1-1 record. The lone win came over Piedmont on Aug. 21. The Golden Eagles recently lost to Oxford on Aug. 28 and are scheduled to play Lincoln on Friday, Sept. 4.

In the statement, the AHSAA didn’t clarify if the ineligible student-athlete played in the Aug. 21 game, or any details on what the probation looks like for Jacksonville.
