While Manchester United fans were still licking their wounds over Saturday’s defeat to Hull City, they were hit with some unfortunate injury news.
Indeed, one reputable Red Devils insider has revealed via UtdDistrict that Amad Diallo is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines after suffering an injury in training.

Amad Diallo to miss several key fixtures
The forward was absent from the travelling squad for United’s season-opener at the MKM Stadium, and could now be waiting until the beginning of October to make his first appearance of the campaign.
Amad’s rumoured setback comes just days after confirmation of Mason Mount’s layoff.
He sustained a hamstring problem in United’s pre-season clash with Paris Saint-Germain, rendering him unavailable for the final friendlies and Saturday’s outing.
It only further cemented Mount’s status as one of the side’s most injury-prone players of the last few seasons, with the 27-year-old yet to oversee a term in which he’s been able to stay fully fit since signing for the club in 2023.

United now have six days to pick themselves up and dust themselves off from a deflating loss before taking to the Old Trafford turf for the first time in 2026/2027 when hosting another newly-promoted outfit in the form of Ipswich Town on Sunday.
There are hopes Mount’s issue was only a minor one, so it’s worth keeping an eye on whether he’s involved in training this week.
Meanwhile, supporters will be expecting clarification over Amad’s condition via an official statement from club media.
Matthijs de Ligt remains out of action while he recovers from the back injury that ended his 2025/2026 campaign in November.
