ADC looted remnants of El-Rufai’s politics, left him bare – Ayekooto claims

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ayekooto Akindele, has accused the African Democratic Congress, ADC, of politically stripping its chieftain and former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, naked.

Ayekooto made the claim in a post he made on his official page on X micro-blogging platform on Monday.

Although the ADC chieftain could not clearly state reasons for his claim, it may not be unconnected with the internal crisis rocking the party, especially in Kaduna State.

The party has been facing internal disputes following the outcome of the primary elections conducted earlier this year.

Loyalists of the ADC governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Alhaji Isa Ashiru, and El-Rufai’s camp recently clashed over positions ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

In his post, Ayekooto claimed that “with what is happening in Kaduna ADC now and even ADC generally, ADC will never wish El-Rufai well again.

“They’ve looted the remnants of his politics and left him naked! ADC, fear Allah”.
