AC Milan consider Adrien Rabiot contract extension a priority

AC Milan have reportedly made extending the contract of Adrien Rabiot (31) their top priority, according to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Under contract with the Lombardy-based club until 2028, the Frenchman has established himself as a key figure in the Milan midfield since his arrival from Olympique de Marseille a year ago.

Fully aware of their player’s value, the Rossoneri management are said to be keen to offer him a contract for two further seasons as soon as possible, with the option to extend it by a further year. Should the deal go through, Rabiot could see out his future contract at the age of 36 – a rather rare occurrence in top-flight football.

Having made six appearances (three as a starter) under Ruben Amorim since the start of the season, Rabiot has already proved decisive on four occasions (two goals, two assists), in a more attacking role than the one he has played for almost his entire career.
