The Anfield outfit are scouring the market for a new right-winger, especially now a deal for Yan Diomande is off the table.

Victor Munoz has obviously been signed with Federico Chiesa and Jeremie Frimpong also still at the club for now.

But, since Chiesa could be exiting and Frimpong isn’t really the best of players, bringing in another right-winger could be essential to Liverpool’s success this season.

Several players have already been named as potential targets but, there’s one attacker who hasn’t been mentioned that would be perfect to fill Salah’s void.

Omar Marmoush could be put onto the transfer market by Manchester City

Before Omar Marmoush chose to join Manchester City, Liverpool were vying for his transfer.

Not only is the 27-year-old Egyptian but he’s also an attacker that can be used as a striker or a right-winger.

He’s obviously still a Manchester City player so a deal could be hard to strike but, since the Cityzens are now looking for a back-up striker to Erling Haaland, a move for Marmoush could be back on the table for Liverpool.

“All the focus has been on getting Elliot Anderson, which they now have. Let’s see what they do next; RB, CM, deputy ST, another forward all on agenda,” Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas wrote.

As mentioned, a deal for Marmoush wouldn’t be cheap for many reasons with the main one being that City and Liverpool are title rivals.

And, since the Egyptian contributed to 11 goals across all competitions last season, he’d be a valuable addition to any team which drives his price up even more.

Why Omar Marmoush would be an unreal signing for Liverpool

Looking past his versatility, Liverpool would also have an exceptionally fast player on their hands if they chose to bring Marmoush in.

Across the entirety of his career, he’s bagged 87 goals with his best ever season coming during the 2024-25 campaign when he bagged 28 goals.

Indeed, 20 of them came while he was still playing for Eintracht Frankfurt but, the other eight came while he was playing for Man City.

He’s also chipped in with a fair few assists during his time as a footballer as he’s managed to set his teammates up 27 times.

Indeed, Marmoush is definitely not a natural right-winger but, since he’s played alongside Salah for Egypt’s national team and has been used there in the past, there’s no reason why he couldn’t fit straight into Andoni Iraola’s plans this term.
