Five-star Nasir Anderson, one of the top point guards in the 2027 class, is taking an official visit to Providence this weekend, he told Rivals.
Anderson, who plays high school ball at Prolific Prep (FL), is ranked as the No. 7 overall recruit in the 2027 class and the No. 3 ranked point guard, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an average of all three major recruiting media companies (Rivals, ESPN, 247Sports).
The Savannah, Georgia native missed the majority of the summer with a hip injury.
In addition to the Friars, Anderson has upcoming official visits scheduled with Virginia, Syracuse, USC, Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
“Anderson is an aggressive guard at the point of attack,” Rivals’ Jamie Shaw wrote last month. “Much of what allows him to be so aggressive is his physicality; he is in the 6-foot-3, 215 range. With his sturdy frame, huge hands, and lengthy arms, Anderson also has incredible balance. The lefty has a solid feel and is an aggressive defensive presence guarding the ball. While not a good shooter, he is unique, and we all know how much I like unique.”
