The San Francisco 49ers finally have some good news on the health front. Both wide receiver Mike Evans and linebacker Dre Greenlaw are active for the team’s Week 4 game against the Denver Broncos.
Evans has had a very rough early season. He hurt his hip in Week 2 and was questionable heading into Week 3. He ended up playing last week, but left the game early with a rib injury. Despite the nagging injuries, which now include a fractured rib which he’ll cover with a protective vest, Evans is going to give it a go again.
Evans has started all three games this season. He’s been targeted 16 times and caught 12 passes for 137 yards and scored a touchdown in two of the first three games.

Greenlaw was questionable with a quad injury and saw limited practice time this week. Greenlaw has 22 tackles this season. With Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams both out, the 49ers need Greenlaw in the lineup. He has played 69% of the defensive snaps this season.

Despite the constant injury issues, the 49ers have continued to roll this season. The team is 3-0. They come into Week 4 with the second-highest scoring offense and are fifth in yards per game. On defense they have given up the eighth fewest yards and are tied for the third fewest points allowed.
So far nothing has stopped the 49ers this season. Not the litany of injuries, the electrical substation or the international travel. Brock Purdy and gang just keep rolling.
