About the Global Studies Programme
The Global Studies bachelor’s programme at Maastricht University focuses on understanding complex global challenges from different academic and geographical perspectives.

- Be a national of a country eligible to receive Official Development Assistance (ODA), excluding Suriname.
- Meet the requirements for obtaining a Dutch entry visa and residence permit.
- Not hold dual nationality from an EU/EEA country, Switzerland or Suriname.
- Apply for admission to Maastricht University’s Global Studies bachelor’s programme for the 2027–2028 academic year.
- Complete and submit the required admission application before December 10, 2026.
- Meet all admission requirements for the Global Studies programme.
- Not already hold a higher-education degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
- Be no older than 35 years on September 1, 2027.
- Be willing to serve as an active Global Studies and Maastricht University ambassador during and after the programme.
Applicants should also note that only one scholarship application can be submitted, and documents cannot be replaced after submission.
