2027: ADC inaugurates Cross River campaign council

The opposition African Democratic Congress, ADC, inaugurated its campaign council in Cross River State.

The event, which held at the party’s state secretariat, was attended by officials and supporters of the party from across the 18 chapters in the state.

A former commissioner, Prince Henry Enyong, was announced as the director general of the ADC campaign council in the state.

Other officials to work with him include the campaign secretary, Asuquo Ekpo and Madam Christabel Mfam Kasang – the state women’s leader.

Speaking during the inauguration, a former state chairman of PDP but now National Coordinator of the Atiku/Amaechi Campaign Organisation, Ntufam Ekpo Okon, said the council is determined to go into the field and speak to the people “helping them understand why they must distance themselves from the ruling party which has subjected Nigerians to untold hardships”.

“I will be talking about these issues during this campaign. We will speak to our people, who must also understand how they are being used,” he added.

Chairman of the ADC in the state, Godwin Effanga, said the party has a very competent gubernatorial candidate.

“Beyond competence, this choice is a mother and a wife, and she has considerable experience.

“To deliver our state from the poor management we are currently experiencing, it is up to Cross Riverians, beyond party lines, to say enough is enough. Let us do this for our children.

“I encourage us to participate in voting and defending our votes. We want to leave a legacy for our children,” Effanga said.
