2026 U-20 WWC: Falconets annihilate New Caledonia to book Round of 16 spot

Nigeria’s Falconets booked a place in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup following a 10-1  thumping of New Caledonia in their last group game.

Moses Aduku’s side finished second in Group F with four points from three games.

Spain top the standings with nine points from same number of matches.

Ramotalahi Kareem and Onajite David bagged hat-tricks for the Falconets.

Rebecca Adegbemile netted a brace while Janet Seimeyeha Akekoromowei and Tosin Rafiu scored the other goals.

New Caledonia got their goal through Joceline Kourevi.
