10 Best New Magic Items In Dungeons & Dragons: World Of Warcraft

· · 9 min read

The release of the new World of Warcraft expansion for Dungeons and Dragons has added several new magic items for players to use in their adventures, perhaps in or even outside of Azeroth. The release of D&D: World of Warcraft is the first of the Universes Beyond initiative, which will see the classic TTRPG have crossovers with other major IPs. In 2027, for example, the new Star Wars expansion for Dungeons and Dragons is set to be released – after the arrival of the new expansions in the Dark Sun and Greyhawk settings.

Now, the World of Warcraft expansion has arrived, bringing a ton of new content inspired by the classic MMORPG. There are new classes in D&D: World of Warcraft, like the Death Knight and the Demon Hunter, as well as new subclasses, species, and much more. Of course, as is the case with any new expansion module, we greedy players are always looking forward to the new magic items that we may happen to stumble upon during our adventures. There are a total of 26 new magic items in D&D: World of Warcraft, and here we’ve selected our top 10 choices.

Aviana’s Feather

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/dungeons-dragons-world-of-warcraft-disc-priest.jpg?q=49&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=2" />

One of the best new magic items right out of the gate is Aviana’s Feather. This Legendary Wondrous Item is a direct reference to the item in the MMORPG, even if it’s not a direct adaptation. In the TTRPG, this powerful magic item in D&D lets the creature attuned to it sprout a pair of golden wings from its back.

This gives the creature a Fly Speed of 80 feet, and any creature that tries to make an Opportunity Attack against it when they fly out of range has Disadvantage on the attack roll. Another great thing that Aviana’s Feather does is reduce the fall rate to 60 feet per round until you land, much like Feather Fall, one of the best reaction spells in Dungeons and Dragons.

Goblin Jumper Cables

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/world-of-warcraft-plunderstorm-update-goblin-and-human-looking-at-a-small-parrot.jpg?q=70&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=1" />
    </figure>

The Goblin Jumper Cables are one of the most surprising magic items in the World of Warcraft expansion, and you wouldn’t actually guess that from its name. This Uncommon Wondrous Item lets you use a Magic action to attach the cables to a dead creature and try to bring it back to life.

You’ll need to succeed on a DC 15 Arcana check with Tinker’s Tools to bring a dead creature to 1 Hit Point, if they died during the last minute, and not of old age. If you fail the check, you take 2d6 Lightning damage. This item can’t be used again until the next dawn. Effectively speaking, Goblin Jumper Cables are a free Revivify every day – it’s not a guaranteed revive, but tons of tables, like Critical Role, already add a check to Revivify anyway.

Hearthstone

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/hearthstone-battlegrounds-logo.jpg?q=49&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=2" />
    </figure>

I’m a big fan of teleportation skills in any game, and the Hearthstone is one of my favorites from the new D&D: World of Warcraft release. The Uncommon Wondrous Item lets you take a Magic item to set a place, like an inn, as the destination for your item’s teleportation. Then, you can activate it with a Magic action and 1 minute of prepping to teleport directly to the set destination.

It works very much like the Hearthstone in the MMORPG, and it’s a great way of touching base in any campaign, even if it only teleports one character. It’s particularly useful if your party doesn’t have easy access to teleportation spells. Imagine you need to get a quick warning to the king after discovering evidence of a plot against him inside a dungeon? A Hearthstone can save his life (and get you rewards for doing so).

Judgment Armor

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/dnd-world-of-warcraft-paladin-class.jpg?q=49&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=2" />
    </figure>

The Judgment Armor is the piece of gear every Paladin or heavy-armor Cleric in Dungeons and Dragons has ever dreamed of. Judgment Armor is a Legendary Plate Armor that will work with anyone proficient in Heavy Armor, but it’s made for those attuned to the divine.

When wearing this armor, the creature is under the effects of the Detect Evil and Good and Protection from Evil and Good spells. This happens with no Concentration and entirely for free. On top of that, if you are a Paladin, you can extend the effects of Protection from Evil and Good to creatures of your choice in your Aura of Protection.

Life-Staff Of The Web Lair

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/dungeons-and-dragons-world-of-warcraft-evoker.jpg?q=49&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=2" />
    </figure>

Using a charge system like many different magic items in D&D, the Life-Staff of the Web Lair is an arguably broken choice for anyone. While attuned to this Legendary staff, the creature basically has access to Spider Climb and can ignore restrictions caused by webs. On top of that, you know the location of any creature in contact with the same web as you.

Of course, you can cast Web for free with it. If a creature is in contact with your Web, you can use another charge to force a DC 18 Constitution save, and if they fail, they take 4d10 Necrotic damage or half as much if they succeed. Regardless of that, you regain Hit Points equal to half of the damage dealt. This new World of Warcraft magic item turns battlefield control into an HP-draining feast.

Noggenfogger Elixir

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/dnd-world-of-warcraft-shaman-class.jpg?q=49&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=2" />
    </figure>

Straight from the inventory of Sprinkle Noggenfogger in World of Warcraft, the Noggenfogger Elixir in D&D is just like it is in the MMORPG. This Rare potion can be consumed for three different random effects. Once you drink the Noggenfogger Elixir, you roll 1d6.

On a 1-2, you take a skeletal form for 1d4 hours, and you don’t need to breathe for that duration. On a 3-4, you gain the Reduce effect of the Enlarge/Reduce spell for 1d4 hours, without the need for Concentration. On a 5-6, your rate of descent while falling slows to 60 feet per round for 10 minutes, like an extended Feather Fall. If you’re planning any type of heist or prison break, the Noggenfogger Elixir may come in handy.

Potion Of Mana

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/dnd-world-of-warcraft-warlock-class.jpg?q=49&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=2" />
    </figure>

The Potion of Mana may be one of the most unbelievable magic items added to D&D with the new World of Warcraft expansion. Alternative ways of recovering spell slots are rare in the TTRPG. Although there are items like Pearl of Power and some class features like Arcane Recovery or Magical Cunning, once you’re out of spell slots, you need to rest.

The Potion of Mana comes in different rarities, but effectively, it lets you recover a spell slot. The Common version lets you recover a Level 1 spell slot, while the Greater (Uncommon) lets you recover a Level 1-3 spell slot. The Superior (Rare) version restores a Level 1-5 spell slot. Warlocks have never rejoiced so loudly.

Potion Of Rejuvenation

If you think the Potion of Mana is good, the Potion of Rejuvenation will blow your socks off. Like the previous item, its rarity varies depending on how good it is. The thing with the Potion of Rejuvenation is that it not only restores a spell slot, but it also restores Hit Points for the creature who drinks it.

The regular (Uncommon) version of it restores 3d4+3 HP and a Level 1 spell slot, while the Greater version restores 6d4+6 HP and a Level 1-3 spell slot. The Superior Potion of Rejuvenation restores 9d4+9 HP and a Level 1-5 spell slot. This new magic item is so good it’s pretty broken if you think about it.

Shalamayne

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/dungeons-and-dragons-world-of-warcraft-new-classes-death-knight.jpg?q=49&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=2" />
    </figure>

There are tons of magic weapons in D&D: World of Warcraft, like the iconic Ashbringer and Frostmourne, but most of them are extremely powerful and feel like weapons above tier 4 play. Shalamayne, however, feels like a proper tier 4 weapon to wield. This Artifact item is a +3 Greatsword that deals an extra 2d12 Force damage on a hit.

It also enables Graze and Sap to be triggered simultaneously, in addition to becoming two +3 Longswords, Shalla’tor and Ellemayne. Shalamayne is a proper high-level weapon that you can easily see a hero of Azeroth wielding to take down the Lich King from World of Warcraft.

Vithrak, Gaze Of The Deadman

    &lt;<img src="https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/dnd-world-of-warcraft-orc-warrior-class.jpg?q=49&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=2" />
    </figure>

Vithrak, Gaze of the Deadman is a very fun new magic item to wield. This Very Rare Ring has a limited number of charges per day, and with it, you can expend a charge to learn all the Resistances, Vulnerabilities, and Immunities of a creature you can see within 120 feet of yourself.

Mind you, there are other features in the TTRPG that grant similar effects, much like the Extract Aspects feature from the Way of the Cobalt Soul Monk subclass, but this one works with any creature. It’s perfect if you’re planning a surprise attack on enemies or if you’re in a rough spot during a fight. There are several other remarkable magic items in the World of Warcraft expansion for Dungeons and Dragons, but these stand out immensely.
