Zamfara ADC guber candidate condemns Kaura Namoda attack, calls for stronger security

The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Zamfara State, Bilyaminu Yusuf Shinkafi, has condemned the recent bandit attack in Kaura Namoda, calling for urgent action to protect residents.

Shinkafi expressed condolences to the families of those killed and criticised the state government’s response to insecurity, alleging that it had failed to demonstrate the urgency needed to protect lives and property.

“The people of Zamfara deserve to live without fear. The loss of innocent lives must never become normal, and the suffering of our communities must no longer be treated as business as usual,” he said.

He pledged to make security a top priority if elected governor, promising to strengthen collaboration with security agencies, improve intelligence gathering and introduce measures to protect vulnerable communities.

Shinkafi also urged the state government to take urgent and measurable steps to prevent further attacks, calling for action beyond public assurances.

He prayed for the repose of the souls of those killed and asked God to give their families the strength to bear the loss.
